The Polyester Gennaker uses a lower-stretch material to maintain its designed flying shape more accurately under load.

This allows a more performance-focused geometry with refined aspect ratio, twist and exit angles.

Compared with the Nylon version, the Polyester Gennaker offers better shape stability and a more direct power response.

In 2025, Manu and Erik won the Formula 16 World Championship with the 1D Pro sail set.
