A-Cat Sails

Different A-Cat platforms, different mast characteristics, different crew weights — our answer is not one universal sail, but a range of designs and material options developed around the individual boat.

Our A-Cat programme has been developed together with experienced sailors and designers including Trigonis Konstantinos, Iago Lopez Marra and Gonzalo Redondo, designer of the AD3 platform.

We offer A-Cat sails for different boat brands, mast types, crew weights and sailing conditions.

Classic or Decksweeper?

Our A-Cat mainsails are available in both Classic and Decksweeper configurations.

Classic
A proven conventional layout with predictable handling, good all-round performance and a wide operating range.

Decksweeper
A modern low-foot geometry designed to improve the aerodynamic connection between sail and platform while maintaining controllable handling and efficient depowering.

Material options

Depending on the model and intended use, our A-Cat sails are available in a range of materials including:

  • Pentex

  • Technora / Endumax

  • Membrane constructions

Each material offers a different balance of weight, stiffness, durability and shape retention.

When ordering, please specify:

  • Boat type

This allows us to configure the sail to suit your platform and intended use.

Included with each mainsail

  • Fiberfoam battens

  • Sail numbers

  • Class insignia

  • Sail bag

Developed with sailors, tested on the water

Our A-Cat development is built around real sailing feedback, testing and continuous refinement.

In this video, Iago Lopez Marra talks about the 1D A-Cat sail programme and his experience with the sails.
